Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is taking credit for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's whirlwind romance

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have truly taken over the world. And that certainly includes the NFL.

Since the two began their famous relationship, with Swift confirming everything after she attended one of the Chiefs games at Arrowhead Stadium last season, all eyes have been on the star couple.

However, it seems one very important person that is close to Kelce is now taking credit.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes spoke about Kelce and Swift's relationship on the Pat McAfee show, and claims that it was all thanks to him.

"I'd like to take some of the credit. I was the one who invited Travis to the first Taylor concert when the friendship bracelet was--he was sitting in my suite, so I feel like I was the matchmaker," Mahomes said. "I had some input in there as well, I was like, 'Dude, just go for it. Just go for it.' And you know Travis, man, he does it. He's a great dude and I'm glad it's all worked out for the best."

Kelce's story at his first Eras Tour concert went viral. The Chiefs tight end brought a friendship bracelet with his number on it and attempted to give it to the singer. However, he was unsuccessful. And he wasn't afraid to talk about it on his New Heights podcast in July.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after the shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Kelce said then. “So, I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”

But clearly the two were able to link up at some point and we all see where they are now.

Not that it's the offseason, Kelce recently met up with Swift in Paris, France, taking in the newest edition of her tour since the new album was released. Oh, and not to mention, he was in person to see her 87th show.

In honor of that special number, Swift wore a red and yellow outfit that was clearly in tribute to the Chiefs colors during the 1989 set, and followed it up with adding "The Alchemy" as a surprise song, which is from the new album and is about Kelce.

So Pat McAfee might have it right: Patrick Mahomes could end up being the greatest quarterback of all time AND the greatest matchmaker of all time as well.
