The Kansas City Chiefs could reportedly be down one of their more important rookies for Sunday night's primetime matchup vs. the Lions.
After previously announcing that there were no injury designations for tonight's game vs. the 4-1 Lions, the team took to social media to reveal that a key member of its offensive line may not be able to suit up come 8:20 PM ET.
After dropping their last game to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, the last thing the Chiefs can do is afford another loss to a really good Detroit team. But things are looking pretty up in the air when it comes to this year's first-round pick.
Posting to X this afternoon, the Chiefs announced that left tackle Josh Simmons has been added to the team's report as "questionable" with what they listed as a non-injury/personal reason.
Simmons has held down Patrick Mahomes' blind side for each of the first five games and has performed admirably since making the transition to the pros out of Ohio State.
Kansas City is considered a 2.5-point favorite at home despite the franchise's 2-3 record, but fans are starting to have their concerns if Simmons isn't going to be in the lineup.
"Have a Normal Injury Report Challenge!! (Level: IMPOSSIBLE)," a user said.
"What is going on with this guy?" another asked.
"Hope Josh is okay ❤️" a fan replied.
"Trolling us during the game isn’t enough now we have to endure it every week hours b4 kickoff," another person commented.
"Messing with our mental state is becoming a weekly goal for Josh Simmons, apparently," another user posted.
"What is up with bro?" another fan wondered.
T Josh Simmons has been added to the injury report. He is questionable for tonight’s game (Not Injury Related - Personal). https://t.co/qCeTgJJDcN

Hopefully everything's OK with Simmons and it isn't anything that will linger further into the season. If the former Buckeyes star can't go, the Chiefs will be forced to turn to Jaylon Moore as their bookend tackle.
