After a down 2025 NFL season, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are ready to bounce back and compete for another Super Bowl in 2026. The veteran tight end agreed to return to the team for one more season, and he’s showing how locked in he is.

Amid preparations for the upcoming season (and his wedding), Kelce continues to study the game and find ways to make his teammates better.

In the latest episode of his joint podcast, “New Heights,” the three-time Super Bowl champion assessed one of his newest teammates.

In a recent clip, Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason, broke down the viral minicamp clip of Peter Woods. While they initially agreed that Woods had some positive traits, Travis noticed the rookie had areas to improve.

“You got to watch that left arm, though, that left arm gets a little hot,” Travis said.

The Clemson product put up a show against tackling dummies, but the Kelce brothers noticed a couple of bad habits.

“Right here, the left arm gets [up], that’s head and neck area, Peter,” Travis said, rhetorically. “We’ve got to stay away from the head and neck area. We’ve got to swat that ball.”

He urged Woods to work on his technique. After his brother offered a positive review, Travis gave him his stamp of approval.

“He looked good to be that big, man,” he said.

The Chiefs picked Woods with the No. 29 pick in the 2026 NFL draft, their second selection of the night. They picked LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane with the No. 6 pick earlier that night.
