The Kansas City Chiefs had one of the best defensive lines last season and are set to add to it. The Chiefs accrued the second-most sacks (55) in the league last season, behind only to the Philadelphia Eagles (70) in the regular season.
Defensive tackle Chris Jones was a major reason for the unit’s success. He recorded 15.5 sacks last season. The Chiefs defensive line is about to get another boost ahead of the 2023 season.
According to Jordan Schultz with The Score, the Chiefs have agreed to terms with former San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Charles Omenihu.
Omenihu is set to receive a $20 million max deal for two seasons. Omenihu had a great 2022 season as a pass-rusher, registering 16 quarterback hits, 28 pressures and 4.5 sacks.
