Chiefs star TE Travis Kelce: Taylor Swift rumors like a game of ‘telephone’

These days, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s love life is talked about far more than anything he does on a football field.

During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Thursday, Kelce set the record straight on what exactly is going on between himself and pop mega-star Taylor Swift, whom the All-Pro TE is rumored to be “hanging out with.”

"It's hilarious how much traction this has gotten," Kelce said. "Right now, it's like that old game in school called 'telephone' where everyone is just whispering in everyone's ear and hearing random stuff…No one actually knows what's going on, especially when you've got Jason Kelce on live television telling people both sides…not even a week later telling everyone that it’s 100% true. The guy is absolutely ridiculous, can't stay out of the frickin' headlines."

Speculation about a potential romance between Kelce and Swift started in July when the two-time Super Bowl winner admitted to his brother Jason on an episode of the “New Heights” podcast that they co-host together that he was disappointed when he didn’t get to give Swift a bracelet with his number on it before one of her shows he recently attended.

Several news outlets have been reporting over the last few weeks that Kelce and Swift had been spending time together, although nothing has been officially confirmed by either party.

“I threw it out there; I threw the ball in her court,” Kelce added. “I told her, you know, 'I've seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead. You might have to see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one is a little more lit.' We'll see what happens in the near future.”
