Chiefs Stats and Milestones to Watch vs. Eagles in Week 11

For the second time this calendar year, the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in a battle of the top teams in the AFC and NFC. It's shaping up to be one of the biggest matchups of the year, with plenty of anticipation building for Monday Night Football. 

The home team is looking to come out of its bye week with a bang, ideally finding some consistency and a second gear on offense. The visitors' goal, on the other hand, might be to gather itself on the defensive side of the ball. While the rosters are largely the same from February's Super Bowl LVII matchup, these two clubs are undoubtedly different in multiple ways.

Entering Week 11's game, what else is at stake for the Chiefs? In addition to improving its record and defeating a premier opponent, Kansas City has several opportunities to extend franchise streaks and even make a bit more NFL history in the process. Let's take a look at five Chiefs stats and milestones to watch against the Eagles.

Andy Reid with a chance to make Chiefs franchise history

With a win right before the bye week, Andy Reid secured victory No. 124 as the head coach of the Chiefs. That put him in a tie with Hall-of-Famer Hank Stram for the most in franchise history. Should Kansas City take care of business at home versus Philadelphia, Reid would become the winningest head coach on the Chiefs leaderboard and also be the first coach to ever hold that distinction for two separate franchises. The Eagles are naturally Reid's other team, so it would be poetic for him to secure this on Monday night. 

Travis Kelce eyeing a climb up the tight end leaderboard

Travis Kelce is potentially looking at yet another 1,000-yard season, which would extend a streak he already holds as the longest in NFL history for a tight end. Every year, he seems to add on to what's already one of the better tight end resumes ever. He enters Week 11 just one touchdown reception behind Dallas Cowboys legend Jason Witten (74) on the all-time leaderboard. Kelce has 10 career regular-season games with multiple touchdown catches — could a Monday explosion give him sole possession of the No. 5 spot on the tight end leaderboard? 

The Kelce and Patrick Mahomes duo looks to add to its legend

Kelce is one of the best ever at his position, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes has also played a significant part in getting him the ball so often in recent years. The two have emerged as one of the league's best duos ever. Their connection has contributed to 50 touchdowns so far, leaving them just one behind the New Orleans Saints' pair of Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham for third all-time. A podium position is up for grabs with a good game on Monday night and would allow for the Mahomes-Kelce coupling to keep climbing up the leaderboards. 

Can Harrison Butker extend his streak of perfection?

One of the more underrated developments of the Chiefs' 2023 season is the consistent excellence of kicker Harrison Butker. The veteran has yet to miss a single field goal or extra point attempt this year, going 18-for-18 on the former and 22-for-22 on the latter. He already holds a Chiefs record for most converted field goals to begin a season, but there's more history at stake on Monday. If Butker doesn't miss a kick in Week 11, he'll be the first Chief to be 100% accurate 10 games into a season. He'll also be the 16th player in NFL history to ever do so. 

A rare statistical achievement is in reach for the Chiefs' offense

Speaking of streaks, the Chiefs' offense has an impressive one of its own. Kansas City holds the NFL's longest active streak of games with at least 15 completed passes at 99 contests. If that is extended to 100 games, it would make the Chiefs the third team to ever reach that threshold. Considering that Mahomes is set to start on Monday night and it's a Reid-led offense, that seems like a pretty safe bet.
