Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has stapled himself as one of the greatest players at his position in NFL history with his pass-catching ability, which has helped the Chiefs win three Super Bowls.

Although the passing game has become much more prominent in recent years than the run game, running backs that switched teams over the offseason are having a major impact.

Stars like Saquon Barkley of the Eagles, Derrick Henry of the Baltimore Ravens and Josh Jacobs of the Green Bay Packers have been a big part of their new team's offense. Each rank in the top three in rushing yards among all NFL players in 2024.

On Wednesday's episode of Kelce's podcast "New Heights," hosted alongside his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, the two stars discussed the impact some of these running backs have had. This led to Travis Kelce revealing which college football player has him excited for the upcoming 2025 NFL draft: Boise State star Ashton Jeanty.

"Then you got guys like Ashton [Jeanty] over there at Boise State," Travis Kelce said. "Oh (expletive). You think he might get drafted next year."

Jeanty has been one of the most dominant players in all of college football this year. He is one of the top candidates to win the Heisman Trophy, although it seems Colorado Buffaloes hybrid star Travis Hunter has become the favorite.

Heading into the final week of the regular season, Jeanty has the Broncos sitting at 10-1 and on track to make the College Football Playoff. The junior out of Jacksonville, Florida, has recorded 275 carries for 2,062 yards and 27 touchdowns, all of which lead the nation. Not to forget his potential dual-threat ability, tallying 18 catches for 102 yards and another score.

Jeanty has propelled himself into the first round of many 2025 NFL mock drafts. The star could instantly help a team that is in need of a running back.

Kelce has seen the Chiefs secure a 10-1 record following a Week 12 win over the Carolina Panthers. But, it hasn't necessarily been the best season for the 35-year-old, tallying 69 catches for 569 yards and two touchdowns, on track for his worst statistical year since 2015. Still, Kansas City is sitting in first in the AFC standings as it looks to defend its title.
