Chiefs TE Travis Kelce jokes he 'doesn't know' how he wooed Taylor Swift

When Taylor Swift released "You Belong With Me," from her album Fearless in 2008, she probably didn't imagine that the lyrics actually could come true one day. 

During the music video, Swift sang to the football star as she stood in the bleachers with the rest of the marching band. And fast-forward to Super Bowl LVIII, she stood in a suite watching Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs win. 

So the musician and the star player truly did end up together after all. However, when reflecting on how it all began, Travis Kelce had a hilarious comment.  

"I don't know how I did it because she wasn't into sports," Travis said. "So I don't know how the f*** I did it."

Joined by Jason Kelce and Lil Dicky on this week's episode of the New Heights podcast, the rapper called him out on exactly how everything went down. 

"Well you did it because you called her out on your multimedia platform," Lil Dicky said. 

And with a smile and a laugh, Travis simply responded, "I know exactly how I did it."

Considering Lil Dicky is in the music industry, Jason couldn't help but bring up Swift, along with the new fans that the show and the NFL have gained this past season. 

The rapper fired back with a question of his own, asking the brothers how they are doing with all of this. 

"It's a... Listen, it has not changed that much for me," Jason simply said. 

As for Travis, things are much different. But it is clearly in the best way. 

"It's fun... I'm having a blast in life. Just flying high. Enjoying it all," he said. "Bringing new lives to the football world... Opening the football world up to new things as well."

Swift's 'You Belong With Me' music video played out like a high school fairytale. And prior to ending this week's episode, Lil Dicky took a moment to talk about his thoughts on the entire relationship. 

"I think it's the best thing ever... I love it. Honestly my take on it, not that you want to spend time talking about it for the five thousandth time, but I just think there's something that makes everyone feel like it's, the world is kind of like high school," he said. "Where your most popular pop star, beloved musician somehow met your most popular, beloved athlete and they actually fell in love. And it's just real.

"Anyone who hates on it is a bitter loser. But I think a lot of people that you'd expect to hate on it, actually love it and they acknowledge they love it because it's just so, there's something so American about it or something. Something classic about it."
