Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is not playing in this year’s Super Bowl. The four-time All-Pro first-team tight end has played in the big game five times in the last seven seasons, winning it three times. The Chiefs, however, missed the NFL playoffs altogether this year after finishing 6-11 on the season.

Kelce did his part for Kansas City, playing all 17 games of the campaign. The 11-time Pro Bowler registered 76 catches for 851 yards and five touchdowns. It was far from enough to lead the Chiefs, though. This year, Kelce will be on the outside looking in.

This year, it’s the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots who will battle for the Vince Lombardi trophy. These two sides have both had incredible seasons, but only one of them will come out as the NFL champions on Feb. 8 at Super Bowl 60.

Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast is riding the Super Bowl wave. On Friday, they released a special episode dedicated to the big game. The Chiefs star and his older brother, Jason Kelce, answered fan questions all about the Super Bowl.

The first query the Kelce brothers addressed was about the least glamorous part of the Super Bowl. Travis and Jason Kelce agreed that press commitments are the worst part of all.

"The media day is the most like necessarily unnecessary thing ever," Travis Kelce said.

"I mean, there's some of it's cool just because there's like so many people there and it's like, that's fine,” Jason Kelce, who’s been to the Super Bowl twice, responded. “It just is a long thing that you're done with. And by that point, you don't want to answer the same questions you've been asked a thousand times."

"It's definitely the one that the players hate the worst or hate the most," Travis Kelce continued. "You just got a bunch of [expletive] hoopla during the biggest game."

The silver lining for Travis and Jason Kelce is that neither of them will be in the Super Bowl this year. This means they won’t have to face reporters for media day.

The brothers, however, will definitely be tuned in for the big game. The Seahawks and the Patriots will face off on Sunday, Feb. 8, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET.
