The Kansas City Chiefs stomped the New York Jets 35-9 last week, pushing their record to 7-1. It wasn't the score that caused a commotion, however. It was Travis Kelce's touchdown celebration late in the second quarter.
Kelce extended Kansas City's lead to 20-9 on a shovel pass from Patrick Mahomes, and he couldn't help but dunk the football over the crossbar in celebration.

Travis Kelce fakes that he's blocking on the play, flashes open and Patrick Mahomes dumps it off to the tight end. Great play, and Kelce dunks it over the field goal post. #ChiefsKingdom pic.twitter.com/WNq5GAFDWk
NFL players aren't fined as badly as they used to be for touchdown celebrations, but the league obviously thought Kelce's dunk was a little excessive. As a result, he has been fined $12,500, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:
#Chiefs TE Travis Kelce was fined $12,500 for unsportsmanlike conduct for dunking the ball over the crossbar after scoring a touchdown last week against the #Jets

Kelce has been terrific this season. During last week's game against the Jets, he reeled in eight receptions for 109 yards and the touchdown.
He has 48 receptions for 610 yards and six touchdowns on the year.
