Chiefs' Travis Kelce Reveals How He'll Determine Success In 2025

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will embark on Year 13 with the fire still burning as bright as ever after the Super Bowl loss last season.

With some thinking Travis would walk away after 12 glorious seasons, the tight end made it clear that last year's failures were a big reason for his return.

But now that he is back for another year, and after his poor 2024 season from a statistical standpoint, many wonder exactly how Kelce will determine how the 2025 season will be a success.

As it turns out, it's a Super Bowl and nothing else.

“That's the only way I'd determine whether it's a success or not, it's just kind of how I'm wired,” Kelce said. “Now, earlier on in my career, I would set those goals for myself and I just think it's just more of a genuine feel and the right mentality to just go out there and try and make every play for my team whether it's receiving or blocking or doing whatever I need to do.”

Considering how successful the Chiefs have been over the past few years, it is no wonder Travis sees a Super Bowl win as the only measure of success.

Of course, we know that players view success in different ways, but the Chiefs, since Patrick Mahomes was named the starter, have been one of the most successful teams of the modern era.

And with Travis coming off a poor season, both from a team and personal perspective, getting that Super Bowl win will be the only way he will view his 13th year as a success.
