Chiefs unveil new vision for what Arrowhead Stadium will look like after renovations
USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs have a new vision for what GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium will look like after some upgrades and renovations. On Wednesday, they showed a video along with an announcement of everything that they have planned for the historic Arrowhead Stadium.

The meeting started with a message from Clark Hunt, who welcomed everyone but also gave time to share his thoughts on the incident during the parade.

From there, they dove straight into what is being planned for the future of the stadium. Hunt showed the video of what the Stadium and outside areas will look like, and it's pretty amazing.

The Chiefs are making changes, additions, and renovations to all levels of the stadium. They are adding new activation zones, tailgate experiences, ease of entry/exit, comfort of concourses and bathrooms, and two new bigger video boards. They will also add upper deck canopies and create a 360-degree concourse level on the upper deck.

"It's important we do this right, to honor the legacy of Lamar Hunt and also do it for the spirit that continues for this treasure that we have in our community that is a worldwide phenomenon and an iconic stadium in sports," Chiefs president Mark Donovan said.

Now, these are not final concepts but the vision, foundation, and basis of what the team plans to do. Donovan mentioned they expect everything to be done around 2031, and the cost will be around $800 million in total, with $300 million coming from the Hunt family.

Special things are happening in Kansas City.
