Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice might rank among the most hated non-quarterbacks in the NFL due to a slew of legal incidents that he's gotten into with little to no punishment. Unfortunately, a large contingent of people who already dislike him are probably going to dislike him even more after finding out who he's now dating.
On Saturday, Rice took to Instagram to reveal that he is now dating rapper and internet personality Rubi Rose. The announcement came on Valentine's Day after Rose showed off some gifts that Rice got her for the special day.
Rice's gifts included a Gucci wallet, a pair of shoes and some coated strawberries with an explicit message on them.
Rice joined the Chiefs as a second-round pick out of SMU in 2023 and quickly emerged as a top weapon for Patrick Mahomes as they went on to win the Super Bowl that year. He set a rookie record with 26 postseason receptions, six of which came in their Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Rose has been a rising star in the online music scene for about a decade and has a massive following online. She boasts 4.9 million followers on Instagram, another 2.4 million followers on X and countless fans around the world.
Rumors had circulated for about a month that the two were an item but there hadn't been any public confirmation that the two were in a relationship.
NFL fans were pretty shocked by the announcement. Some were impressed and some were jealous:
"Rashee Rice I ain’t mad at you," one user admitted.

"Rubi Rose and Rashee Rice being together was not part of my 2026 Bingo card," another wrote.
"Rashee rice and Rubi rose is insane lmao," wrote a third.
"I hate Rashee Rice now."
Rubi Rose may not be Taylor Swift, Gisele Bundchen or Hailee Steinfeld, but she instantly becomes one of the most well-known NFL wives & girlfriends in the league.
