  • The Chiefs’ offense has been much more explosive over the past few weeks.
  • Quarterback Patrick Mahomes gets a big weapon back in wide receiver Rashee Rice.
  • Rice spoke about how excited he is to get back on the field.

The Kansas City Chiefs are no strangers to the constant criticism that has plagued them over the last few years.

After quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ historic statistical start to his career, he has cooled off considerably, which had people worried about Kansas City’s offense.

However, Mahomes is putting those concerns to bed this season, with over 250 yards in each of his last three games, and at least three touchdowns in two out of his last three.

Now, he will seemingly have a much easier time of carving up defenses now that star wide receiver Rashee Rice is back in the fold.

He finished serving his six-game suspension earlier this week for his involvement in a multi-car crash back in 2024 and now will take the field vs. the Las Vegas Raiders.

In his first media session this season, Rice told reporters, “This week is really big... it has been a while since I’ve been out there with my guys. I’m excited to get out there and compete.”

It has been almost 13 months since Rice last stepped on an NFL field, so one can only imagine the wave of emotions he is going through.

Considering the suspension he served for his questionable actions and a devastating torn LCL he suffered last season at the hands of Mahomes, he must have been dealing with a lot mentally.

Many of Rice’s teammates, like Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, as well as his head coach, Andy Reid, have expressed their excitement for his return and just how much he will improve the offense.

The former second-round pick showed superstar potential in his rookie season in 2023, but he has hardly seen the field since.

He probably won’t pick up exactly where he left off, but he and the Chiefs are ecstatic for him to finally get back on the field.
