Chloe Kim reveals hilarious mix-up before dating Myles Garrett

Chloe Kim has revealed the hilarious misunderstanding that led to her relationship with Myles Garrett.

The Olympic snowboarder admitted she once attended a Cleveland Browns game, believing she was about to see world-famous DJ Martin Garrix.

Instead, she was unknowingly being set up with one of the NFL’s biggest defensive stars.

What began with confusion over a name eventually turned into a high-profile cross-sport relationship.

Kim explained that a mutual friend invited her to a Browns game and mentioned Garrett’s name.

She misheard it as “Martin Garrix” and spent the entire game expecting a halftime performance from the Dutch musician. When no set materialised, Kim had a blunt reaction.

“Martin Garrix never showed up, and I was like, ‘This guy is whack! Why is he not showing up?’” she said. “And I later find out that we were there to see Myles, and not Martin.”

The confusion eventually gave way to connection. The couple went public at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Tokyo in May 2025.

Since then, both have regularly shared supportive messages on social media, blending elite sport with lighthearted chemistry.

Their relationship has also extended into major career moments. Fresh off winning the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award, Garrett flew to Italy to support Kim at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Kim entered the Games as a two-time defending champion in the halfpipe and competed despite a shoulder injury.
