Chop Robinson Back at Practice Thursday

Mike McDaniel announced that Chop Robinson had an injury scare that needed him to be carted off the field on Wednesday, but he will return to practice today, Thursday.

McDaniel said Chop had a rib injury on Wednesday that caused him to leave practice.

It was initially reported that Robinson had an injury to his arm/shoulder area, but 24 hours later, that appears to be inaccurate.

Chop took to his Instagram account Wednesday afternoon, a few hours after the injury, to let everyone know…

“I’m good yall nothing serious”

Miami Dolphins second-year edge rusher Chop Robinson was carted off the practice field early in the joint practice session on Wednesday with the Detroit Lions.

The 22-year-old 2024 first-round pick of the Miami Dolphins had six sacks last season as a rookie and was expected to have a larger role for the Dolphins this year.

The Dolphins do have Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips returning this season, both of whom missed last season (Phillips played a few games before being re-injured)

Chubb is coming off his 3rd ACL surgery and took a massive pay cut to return. You have to wonder if he is the same player he was before his latest injury, being that it is a 3rd ACL injury, and 2nd on one knee.

Phillips is coming off back-to-back Achilles injuries and an ACL injury. He is in a contract year, so he will be motivated for a big payday, but is he the same player he was prior to his injury?

Wednesday’s joint practice was all around bad for the Dolphins. On top of this injury, every reporter and all people on site, the Lions dominated both offensively and defensively.

Miami was overmatched and failed to shake the soft label, as the Dolphins’ secondary —a huge concern —was repeatedly beaten by the Lions’ wide receivers.
