With just a few weeks to go until the Cincinnati Bengals take the field to try to get back to the playoffs, the organization has announced what the team is set to wear in Week 2, the franchise home opener for the 2025 season. Outside of the usual home and away get-up, the Bengals have the White Tiger look as well as an all-orange look. While the White Tiger game(s) have not been announced, the Bengals are going with another “Open In Orange” campaign.
Last year, the team went with the all-orange look in its Week 1 home opener. While that game was one to forget, opting for an all-orange look against the Jacksonville Jaguars should bode well for the home team…hopefully.

It looks like the Bengals have a new tradition. While doing the same thing in back-to-back seasons does not engrave a tradition in stone, every tradition has to start somewhere. Adding orange pants in 2024 was seen as a welcome change for what is widely considered among the NFL’s top uniforms. Last year, the Bengals broke out the new pants five times, and one of those was as part of the all-orange look.
In that all-orange combo, the Bengals are winless. In Week 1, it was an ugly 16-10 loss to a New England Patriots team that won a total of four games. The Bengals were expected to rock the look but ultimately went with orange-on-black and fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers at home in Week 13, 44-38. Of course, that was the final time the Bengals have lost as the team won the final five games of the year.
The 2025 season is set to be a pivotal one for the Bengals as they look to not waste another prime Joe Burrow–Ja’Marr Chase–Tee Higgins season. The Bengals have won each of the last three meetings against the Jaguars and have taken seven of the last nine. With what looks to be an improved defense and an already loaded offense, Cincinnati should be able to extend that streak to four.
Of course, Travis Hunter could be the unicorn he’s hyped up to be. Pair that with the fact that the Bengals have stumbled out of the gate in almost every year in the Zac Taylor era, and anything can happen. Maybe opening in orange will help for the first time.
