The Cleveland Browns will be hosting multiple draft prospects between this week and next as they put a bow on their pre-draft work.
Cleveland looks to be at a point where they are choosing between DE Abdul Carter and Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter at their No. 2 overall pick. Hunter is said to be the favorite at the moment and would add a big boost to Cleveland’s offense. The Browns have to maximize this pick after not having a first-round selection each of the last three years.
The latest visit for the Browns is an interesting one and though he won’t be selected at No. 2, he is expected to go in the first round.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Browns are hosting Georgia LB Jalon Walker for a visit on Tuesday. It is the first time that the Browns have been linked to Walker, a player who can get after the passer with the best of them. Walker is ranked as the No. 11 player in the draft, per NFL Mock Draft Database.

“Walker is the latest intriguing defensive weapon prospect entering the NFL. He has the size, physicality, and closing speed you want from a traditional inside linebacker, and he brings immense value as a third-down rusher. However, those projecting him to be a full-time pass-rusher might be disappointed because of his lack of length and bulk. He's best suited to be a SAM linebacker who uses his physicality at the line of scrimmage and occasionally blitzes.” — Ian Valentino, A to Z Sports
Walker put up 60 tackles and 6.5 sacks in 14 games in his junior season at Georgia. The 6-foot-1, 243-pound prospect runs a 4.5 40-yard dash and is going to be an exciting player wherever he ends up. If the Browns were going to land someone like Walker, it would be either trading back from No. 2 or trading back into the first round if he were to fall down the board.
Nonetheless, the Browns continue to mold out their draft plans and the latest name should raise some eyebrows.
