Cleveland Browns draft center with unique set of skills

The Cleveland Browns have found a possible gem in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, selecting Ohio State center Luke Wypler with pick No. 190. Anchoring the Buckeyes' offensive line in 2022, Wypler has a legitimate shot to be a long-term center for the Browns.

While playing football may be his job, Wypler has a few unique interests off of the gridiron. Known for his great hands at the line, he gives credit in part to his juggling prowess. In elementary school, the big man was in a juggling club and has continued to hobby to this day.

If one hobby besides football was not enough, Wylper has also dabbled in stand-up comedy, performing two shows. He did his routines in front of mostly empty audiences, but the experience was a blast for him.

A top-100 nationally-ranked recruit and the No. 1 overall player in New Jersey in 2019, Wypler started at center for OSU in each of the past two seasons and earned third-team All-Big Ten Conference honors in 2022.

With Ethan Pocic and Nick Harris ahead of him on the current Cleveland depth chart, Wypler won't be a plug-and-play center in 2023-24. He is a project who will need to hit the weight room and add some strength to his game. Now in the NFL, Wypler will have plenty of resources readily available to help his development with the Browns.
