The Cleveland Browns are set to make an essential change at quarterback this week amid Deshaun Watson’s injury. Fans gave their thoughts on the potential change.
Per Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, Watson is day-to-day with a rotator cuff contusion. He missed Browns practice on Monday after not playing in their Week 4 game.
The Browns had a bye in Week 5.
#Browns QB Deshaun Watson remains day-to-day with what sources say is a rotator cuff contusion.
After a surprise scratch in Week 4, Watson spent the bye resting and rehabbing. He didn’t practice Monday, but did some throwing. Status TBD for Sunday’s game vs. the #49ers. pic.twitter.com/tREXg6r83U

Rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson struggled as the Browns starter in place of Watson in Week 4. He was 19/36 passing for 121 yards and three interceptions in the Browns’ 28-3 blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Many Browns fans criticized the front office’s decision to trade Joshua Dobbs to the Arizona Cardinals after the loss. The Browns appear to have issues at the backup quarterback position, and some fans wished they had more of a veteran at QB2.
Well, the Browns are getting experienced help there now.
According to Brad Stainbrook with 247 Sports, the Browns plan to start PJ Walker in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers if Watson cannot play.

Walker has had a couple of seasons of backup experience with the Carolina Panthers. He’s completed 57.5 percent of his passes for 1,461 yards, five touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in his NFL career. That’s not exactly exciting for the Browns, but it might be better than what Thompson-Robinson offers at this point in his career.

Considering who they're playing, the significance of a rotator cuff injury, and Jed "Turnstyle" Wills going against Joey Bosa I think it's best to sit Watson this week.

Should've played two weeks ago if you ask me.
Would've handled the situation a lot better than the rookie did. Was unfair to keep DTR in the game for as long as Stefanski did.
Could've lost with PJ as well but we'll never know what would've happened since PJ never played a snap

So PJ is starting this week..

So PJ Walker will do better job seeing the field than DTR with this vanilla playcalling by Stefanski? Really? We only winning 7 games this year.

Obviously want Deshaun out there and doesn’t really matter bc it’s the 49ers we’re going against but honestly feel very comfortable with PJ Walker back there. Played decently and moved the ball for an absolutely horrid Panthers offense. We’re much better then that offense.
