Cleveland Browns have now hosted a fan favorite 2026 NFL Draft prospect who could end up wearing the orange and brown

The former Georgia tight end spent four seasons with the Bulldogs where he spent one year being coached by Browns head coach Todd Monken as a freshman in 2022. Monken is actually one of the reasons Delp decided to attend Georgia.   

“Part of the reason (I chose Georgia) was because of Coach Monken," Delp said back at the combine. "Watching what he does with the tight ends and with their offensive scheme, it's amazing, and he's an awesome guy.”

He's a super down-to-earth coach, and he's a guy that's going to coach you hard, and that's what I want in a coach. The way he uses tight ends and just how detailed he is in everything he does, whether it's alignments or plays and depths, it's unreal.”

Delp had 854 receiving yards and nine touchdowns during his time at Georgia. In Delp’s last three seasons at Georgia, he totaled between 248 yards and 284 receiving yards each season. At 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds, Delp has the ability to play inline and move as a tight end. Georgia’s usage of him as a passing target was questionable at best. 

The Browns had Harold Fannin Jr. as the future at the position of tight end. Cleveland allowed David Njoku to become a free agent without a new contract and he remains available. Cleveland made a free agency signing of Jack Stoll to be their blocking tight end and TE3. 

Browns fans have been very open on social media about wanting Delp in a Browns uniform. Considering he has a preexisting relationship with Monken, fits what the Browns need, and has now visited with the team: There’s a solid chance the Browns pull the trigger on selecting him late Day 2 or early Day 3 in the draft.
