The Cleveland Browns can’t catch a break. After a terrible 2025 NFL season, they prepare to bounce back next campaign. However, a recent development has already hurt their chances to compete in the tough AFC North.
Cleveland will have another quarterback competition in 2026, with Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson competing to earn the spot.
On the other hand, they will try to replicate the defensive success they had with Jim Schwartz, who left the franchise after it hired Todd Monken as its new head coach. The job will be harder without one of their best defensive stars.
On Friday, the Browns announced terrible news involving linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. They placed the veteran on the reserve/physically unable to perform list. Owusu-Koramoah (neck) will miss another full season.
The 2021 second-round pick hasn’t played since he suffered a neck injury against the Baltimore Ravens in 2024. It will take a lot before fans see him on the field again.
Owusu-Karamoah has played 49 games in his career, recording 302 tackles, eight sacks, three interceptions, 17 passes defensed, six forced fumbles and 40 tackles for loss.
