Cleveland Browns Star Myles Garrett Caught Speeding Again

It looks like Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett has a need for speed. Again. Over the weekend, the defensive end was clocked going a casual 100 mph in a 60 mph zone on I-71 in Strongsville, Ohio.

How Did Garrett Get In This Position?

According to Strongsville police, the 29-year-old was pulled over around 2 a.m. while whipping around in his gray Ferrari. Just to keep the speeding ticket collection complete, this is the same area where rookie Quarterback Shedeur Sanders was caught going mph back in June. Maybe these guys are testing the limits of Ohio traffic laws for fun? Who knows.

But here’s where it gets interesting (or downright concerning). This isn’t Garrett’s first time being in hot water for going way over the speed limit. Back in 2022, 3News Investigates uncovered at least seven instances of Garrett being stopped for speeding in Northeast Ohio, including a jaw-dropping stint where he hit 120 mph in Medina County.

And who could forget the infamous 2022 accident where Garrett, driving his Porsche like he was on the Autobahn, lost control and sent the car cartwheeling off State Road in Sharon Township? Both he and his passenger walked away with minor injuries, which, considering how bad that crash looked, was nothing short of a miracle. Of course, the incident didn’t stop him from returning to the field shortly after, proving he’s as resilient as his stat line.

The Veteran Needs To Be Better

But this isn’t just about Garrett’s taste for fast cars and adrenaline. He wasn’t some rookie learning the ropes here. He is an eight-year league veteran and one of the core leaders of the Browns. Garrett is supposed to be setting an example, considering his record-breaking sack stats and his importance to the team’s success. Instead, he’s competing with co-workers for “fastest player cited by the police.”

The Browns, as you might expect, have been silent about this latest incident. Classic PR strategy. Maybe they’re hoping this will blow over quietly. But here we are, talking about it, so good luck with that. On a more serious note, driving at these speeds isn’t just reckless. It is dangerous. Not just to Garrett, but also to everyone else on the road.

Sure, Garrett will probably just pay the ticket and move on with his life, skipping his court appearance entirely if he settles the fine. But this incident, along with his high-profile crash and past speeding tickets, raises the question of whether lessons from his past experiences are really sinking in. At this rate, we might need to rename the Browns’ practice to the “Fast and Furious Training Camp.”

Final Thoughts

To wrap it all up, Garrett is undeniably one of the best defensive players in the league, but as far as his driving record goes, it is a total fumble. You have to wonder if the Browns’ leadership will step in here or if they’ll continue to treat this like a “boys will be boys” situation. Either way, Garrett’s next headline better be about breaking QB sack records. Not the speed limit.
