The Browns waived defensive tackle Jowon Briggs according to NFL insider Aaron Wilson.

The University of Cincinnati product would be an ideal fit on the Bengals' roster.

Briggs would help fill the void at defensive tackle that currently exists at Paycor Stadium. Rookie McKinnley Jackson is dealing with a knee injury.

Throw in the fact that team owner Mike Brown spoke directly with Briggs at the Bengals' local pro day and it's easy to see why Cincinnati may claim the former Bearcats star.
