Veteran sports media personality Colin Cowherd has made a prediction. Cowherd sat down with FOX NFL analyst Greg Olsen to dissect the current New York Giants situation. Looking at the developments the Giants made, Cowherd has a good feeling.
The NFL analyst believes this will be John Harbaugh, Jaxson Dart, and company, looking ahead to a massive 2026 season. Cowherd would go on to say
“The New York Giants feel like it this year. I like [the Giants’] players. I like their draft. I like the coaching move,” said Cowherd on the Herd w/Colin Cowherd show. “…They’re gonna win ten games and none of you see it coming.”
"I love their draft. I love the pieces that they added… The Giants feel a little bit like how I felt about the Bears going into last season."@colincowherd and @gregolsen88 agree that the Giants will be next year's surprise team pic.twitter.com/XXIW9Lx6uB

Cowherd’s belief stems from the fact that he sees similarities between this year’s Giants and his last year’s pick, the New England Patriots.
His hopes were elevated with the new joint pairing of Mike Vrabel and quarterback Drake Maye in the Patriots’ lineup.
Maye and Vrabel led the Patriots to a 14-3 record. They also secured the AFC East title in the process.
The New York Giants could be on a similar trajectory this year. A disastrous 4–13 season, then a reset with a new head coach in John Harbaugh and a second-year quarterback in Jaxson Dart does have potential.
Cowherd has faith in the abilities of Dart and Harbaugh. Dart did show flashes of greatness with 2,272 yards and 15 TDs. Furthermore, even head coach John Harbaugh feels that Dart is adapting well.
Jaxson Dart receives praise from the Giants’ head coach
Jaxson Dart is in his second year with the New York Giants, and already, he has impressed despite his team coming off a dismal season.
According to Giantswire, Dart’s performance saw them move up seven spots in QB ranking.
Even the new head coach, John Harbaugh, has liked the adjustment he has seen from Dart.
“New head coach John Harbaugh has said that Dart has adjusted really well to the new offensive staff and scheme,” writer John Fennelly wrote. “The offense is now run by coordinator Matt Nagy with Brian Callahan as the quarterbacks coach and Greg Roman on board as the run-game coordinator.”
Dart didn’t have a “great” season as the team struggled. They averaged 22.8 points per game and made a total of 381 points. Still, his contributions certainly stood out in an ever-changing coaching room.
