Colin Cowherd drops undeniable Chargers’ Justin Herbert truth bomb

Herbert has done his part over his six years with the Chargers. He has gone 52-43 as a starter, throwing for 24,820 yards, 163 touchdowns and 58 interceptions. Furthermore, he is a former Offensive Rookie of the Year and has been named to the Pro Bowl twice, including in 2026.

Since Herbert’s arrival in 2020, the Chargers have made the playoffs three times. But on each instance, Los Angeles was eliminated in the Wild Card Round. Entering the 2026 campaign, the Chargers are looking to get over their hump and prove they’re truly amongst the NFL’s elites.

Los Angeles added Mike McDaniel as their offensive coordinator to help greaten their chances. Furthermore, Herbert will have a new offensive line in front of line, headlined by the return of tackles Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt. The Chargers are trying to do everything in their power to surround Herbert with talent.

If everything pans out how the franchise is hoping, there may be no ceiling on Los Angeles’ success. But if all the Chargers’ hype leads to yet another early Wild Card exit, the franchise will have more questions than answers.
