With just one game remaining in the NFL season, it happens to be the biggest of them all: Super Bowl LIX, set to take place in New Orleans on Feb. 9, between the back-to-back champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles — a rematch of Super Bowl LVII from two seasons ago.
Ahead of the big game, predictions for the matchup are beginning to roll in, with one of the boldest coming from Fox Sports analyst and "The Herd" host Colin Cowherd. After watching the NFC and AFC Championship Games this past weekend, Cowherd made an extremely wild prediction for the showdown as he highlighted the possibility that the Eagles may not even get into the red zone against the Chiefs defense.
"They may not get into the red zone," Cowherd said about the Eagles. "I think Kansas City's defense, we now have to be honest — lockdown corner, dominant defensive line, multiple edge defenders, hyper-athletic linebackers. I don’t think people are giving Kansas City’s defense enough credit."

Cowherd is well-known for his bold predictions, and this certainly falls into that category. However, the Chiefs' defense, led by defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, has delivered masterful performances week in and week out. In the biggest moments, when Kansas City needed stops, the defense has consistently come through.
That said, the last time the Chiefs and Eagles faced off in the Super Bowl, Philadelphia scored 35 points without having Saquon Barkley. Now, two years later, while the Chiefs' defense has significantly improved, it would be surprising to see quarterback Jalen Hurts and a red-hot Saquon Barkley not get into the red zone.
If they don’t, it would be a telling sign for a potential blowout — and a historic moment for the Chiefs as they'd capture their third consecutive Super Bowl, the first in NFL history, and the first three-peat in professional sports since the Los Angeles Lakers accomplished it from 2000-2002.
