Colin Cowherd: Odell Beckham Jr. is 'the Airbnb of wide receivers'

As a possible sweepstakes for the services of free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. heats up, FS1's Colin Cowherd analyzed the somewhat polarizing talent during his "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" program on Thursday.

The media personality said that at this stage in his career, "OBJ" is better suited as a short-term rental for whichever team picks him up, referring to the three-time Pro Bowler as the "Airbnb of wide receivers."

Though Beckham Jr. is still on the right side of 30 at 29 years old -- he'll turn 30 in November -- he's also still rehabbing from a torn ACL that he suffered in Super Bowl LVI.

The former 2014 first round pick took to Twitter Wednesday to say that his most recent team -- the Los Angeles Rams -- hadn't offered him a fair contract in his mind, despite his desire to stay with the organization. Head coach Sean McVay said later in the day that the Rams likely hadn't made their final pitch to Beckham Jr.

Los Angeles has struggled to get any production from its wide receivers outside of All-Pro Cooper Kupp, who leads the NFL with 49 receptions. Offseason acquisition Allen Robinson has produced just 12 catches for 107 yards and one touchdown on 23 targets over the team's first five games, and the Rams are currently on a two-game losing streak and stand at 2-3 overall.
