Colin Kaepernick posts workout video showing he's ready to play

Joe Burrow will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in the Bengals' loss to the Washington Football Team on Sunday. The team put backup Ryan Finley in to replace Burrow for the remainder of the game, but he's not exactly an ideal option to be the team's starter for the rest of the season. If the Bengals are looking to add some competition to the mix, Colin Kaepernick let Cincinnati and the rest of the league know that he is ready to go.

The 33-year-old quarterback posted a video of him working out on Twitter.

Rumors of Kaepernick possibly getting another shot in the NFL gained a lot of traction this summer, with even commissioner Roger Goodell partially acknowledging the league's mistreatment of the veteran gunslinger. Kaepernick has not made any attempt to hide his interest in resuming his NFL career. Last year, he held a workout to show off his throwing ability and conditioning. However, he did not receive an offer from any team.

But times have changed, and the very league that once vilified him and allegedly blackballed him now appears more ready to embrace him. When Kaepernick first began kneeling to protest police brutality, he was given little support and was openly criticized. Perhaps the time has come where a team may finally be willing to take a chance on the divisive quarterback, who reportedly is in the "best shape of his life" in anticipation of getting another shot.
