"College GameDay" has been a staple of the college football world for decades, but this year, it's been a little different. The show is on track for its best season ever, with the addition of Pat McAfee and Nick Saban proving to be pivotal to its success.
On top of that, the celebrity guest picker is always a highlight, and they've had some terrific guests from week to week. That tradition continues on Saturday when the No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers head to Columbus, Ohio, to take on the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes in a massive Big Ten clash with major College Football Playoff implications.
"College GameDay" announced on Friday morning that the celebrity guest picker for this week’s game is none other than former Ohio State star and current Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields.

Fields, who just played on "Thursday Night Football" at Huntington Bank Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, will join Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Nick Saban, the legendary Lee Corso, and Kirk Herbstreit to make some picks — with a special focus on the big matchup between his Buckeyes and the Hoosiers.
During his time at Ohio State, Fields was consistently one of the best quarterbacks in the nation. In two seasons in Columbus, he threw for 5,701 passing yards, 67 touchdowns, and only nine interceptions. He also added an elite rushing element to his game, finishing with 867 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground.
Fields went 20-2 during his career at Ohio State with his only two losses coming in the College Football Playoffs. He never lost a regular-season game for the Buckeyes and won back-to-back Big Ten Championships in 2019 and 2020.
Fields was drafted in the first round by the Chicago Bears and, after a few seasons with the team, moved on to the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he’s now thriving alongside Russell Wilson. However, his roots remain firmly planted in Ohio, bringing that Buckeye pride to "College GameDay" on Saturday.
