The Indianapolis Colts got an infusion of talent and speed in a big way in the 2023 NFL Draft.

They added a whopping 12 players across the three day event including uber-athletic quarterback Anthony Richardson with the No. 4 overall pick.

Day 3 was good to the Colts with Northwestern defensive lineman Adetomiwa Adebawore and South Carolina cornerback Darius Rush heading to Indianapolis in rounds four and five respectively.

Adebawore put on a show at the NFL combine with a 4.49 forty-yard dash at 282 pounds. Rush ripped off a 4.36 forty at the same event.

NFL.com's Chad Reuter gave the Colts an 'A' for their efforts over the weekend.

Richardson can play behind Gardner Minshew in 2023 and will eventually thrive as he gains experience under new head coach Shane Steichen, thanks to his physical skill set. After two trades down in Round 2, the Colts still found Brents, a long athlete who just needs to stick to receivers more consistently. Downs is the productive slot receiver needed to replace Parris Campbell.

Freeland and Witt are similar to 2022 third-round choice Bernhard Raimann, tall and full of athleticism and promise. Adebawore will grow into an excellent value as a fourth-rounder; he’s not just a workout warrior. The Colts got great value in the fifth round by taking Rush and in the seventh round by taking Jones. Mallory and Hull (drafted with the choice obtained from Dallas in exchange for Stephon Gilmore) were smart picks to add depth on offense. -- Chad Reuter, NFL.com

Reuter wasn't the toughest grader in the world with only one team getting below a B- (the Detroit Lions got a C+), but he only gave out six As. In addition to the Colts, the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers also got As.

The Colts finished ahead of their AFC South rivals with the Titans getting an 'A-' and the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars both getting 'B+'.

Teams always speak highly of their newly acquired players, but in this case, NFL.com is going along. The Colts received the highest marks in the NFL for their newest players.
