Colts Issue Apology to Dolphins' Tyreek Hill Amid Insensitive Schedule Release Video

The Colts portrayal of Hill being arrested in the video was insensitive, but it wasn't the only reason the Colts deleted the video from their social media. To make their schedule release video in Minecraft, the Colts needed permission from Microsoft to use the games rights, which they did not have.

After deleting the video, the next day the Colts issued a statement and apology on their schedule release video, apologizing to Hill for their insensitive inclusion of Hill in their video. 

James Boyd, Colts reporter for The Athletic, shared the Colts statement on their schedule release on Twitter/X.

The Colts statement is as follows: "We removed our schedule release video because it exceeded our rights with Microsoft and included an insensitive clip involving Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. We sincerely apologize to Microsoft and Tyreek."

The reference the Colts were trying to portray was when ahead of the Dolphins season-opener in 2024, Hill was stopped by police outside Hard Rock Stadium for a minor traffic violation. Hill went on to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars that same day, and the charges were later dropped.

Including a reference to Hill being arrested was an insensitive joke to try making in their schedule release video. While the Colts took down the video and apologized to Hill, the video is still out there and the damage is done.
