Colts Kickoff 2025 Pre-Season
- Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (5) sits on the sideline Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, during a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Colts kicked off their Pre-Season against the Baltimore Ravens inside M&T Bank Stadium at 7 PM. The team will start Anthony Richardson at quarterback as he is in a battle with Daniel Jones for the starting spot. This will be the first step in seeing which QB is primed for the starting role. I will discuss that, plus all the other headlines from the first Pre-Season game.

Colts Game Notes

In the first quarter, the plan had to change for the Colts at quarterback as rookie running back DJ Giddens would miss a block, and AR would get hit hard for a sack that would snap his pinky on his throwing hand. Anthony Richardson finished the game 2-of-3 for 21 yards.

The team has a gem in rookie tight end Tyler Warren, who was balling Thursday night. Warren finished the night with three receptions for 40 yards. AD Mithcell was another receiver who stood out with two receptions for 37 yards. The defense was showing out as well with two interceptions in the first half one went to linebacker Jon Bachie and Alex Johnson.

The defense as a whole played great in the first half, also getting a sack by Adetomiwa Adebawore. The blue and white also will have to work on undisplined penalties. Overall, the team has not looked bad. They will need to finish drives with touchdowns instead of field goals. The good thing is that it’s just the Pre-Season, and they have plenty of time to fix the mistakes.

Final Thoughts

The team will have to evaluate the injury to Anthony Richardson and hope it’s not too serious. There are plenty of things to build off of, like the turnovers and good defensive line play. The team will play again next Saturday against the Green Bay Packers inside Lucas Oil Stadium. Stay tuned to Total Apex Media for all things Colts during the NFL season.
