Colts lose Tyquan Lewis for the season

Nearly a year ago on Halloween, Lewis suffered the same injury in his other knee, ending his season.  

Lewis had established himself as a premier pass rusher for the Colts with a sack, four quarterback hits and two tackles for loss in four starts. 

Lewis played 52.3 percent of snaps this season but has now lost lost half the season to injury for the fourth time in his five seasons in the NFL.

“It was tough, tough to see,” former Ohio State teammate Parris Campbell said, per the Indianapolis Star. “I’ve been in his shoes numerous times, and it’s a test of his faith."

Lewis signed a one-year deal with the Colts in the 2022 offseason and is set to become a free agent in 2023. 

With Lewis' injury and Kwity Paye out with a high ankle sprain, the Colts are thin on the defensive line.
