Colts Make Decision on Anthony Richardson Following Trade Request

Anthony Richardson was selected by the Indianapolis Colts with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft after having a sensational combine and workout after only starting 13 games for the Florida Gators during his college career.

Richardson faced injury issues from the start of his career, playing only four games his rookie year, with the tantalizing quarterback scored four rushing touchdowns and 136 yards, while passing for 577 yards and three touchdowns and one interception. The 6-foot-4 quarterback saw his most action in 2024, playing in 11 games and throwing for 1,814 yards and eight touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

After only attempting two passes last season for the Colts, it appears Richardson's time in Indianapolis could come to a close soon. Richardson will start at quarterback on Thursday night, against the New England Patriots, potentially to highlight the quarterback as he asked for a trade on February.

General Manager Chris Ballard still believes in the talent of the Eastside High School graduate, as he refuses to trade the quarterback. In his Colts career, Richardson started 17 games, throwing for 2,400 passing yards on 50.6% completion percentage, attempting 350 passes and completed 177 passes to go along with 11 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
