Colts: NFL Analyst Reveals Bold Prediction For Indianapolis
Robert Scheer/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK

Gardner Minshew and the Indianapolis Colts have been a wild team to watch throughout the course of the 2023 NFL season. At times, they have looked like they were heading downhill and towards a high draft pick. Now, however, they appear to be a legitimate playoff team in the AFC and are finding ways to win games whether they’re ugly or pretty.

In Week 13, the Colts were able to come back in overtime and knock off the AFC South division rival Tennessee Titans by a final score of 31-28. There was nothing easy about the game, but playoff teams find ways to win football games no matter how they have to accomplish the task.

Looking ahead at the rest of the season, the Colts’ path to the playoffs is among the best potential paths in the NFL. They have a very good chance to finish the season strong and clinch a postseason berth.

NFL Analyst Doesn’t Hold Back From Bold Prediction For Colts

In a recent quote shared by NFL on CBS, both Trent Green and Danny Kanell made a bold prediction for the Colts. They believe that Minshew will lead Indianapolis to the playoffs.

Minshew has been met with mixed reviews from the Colts’ fan base. At times, he has been well loved, but at other times fans have been extremely frustrated with him. Those are both things that Minshew has become used to throughout his NFL career thus far.

On the season in 12 games played, Minshew has completed 62.8 percent of his pass attempts for 2,284 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He has also picked up 52 yards and three scores on the ground.

His numbers may not be elite, but they aren’t horrible for a backup quarterback turned starter. The injury to rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson changed the landscape for the Colts drastically this season. Minshew has picked up the pieces admirably.

In addition to his production, Minshew has the trust and support of his teammates. There is no question that his team plays hard for him each and very week. At the end of the day, those things are all that the Colts could have asked for from Minshew given the circumstances.

Next up for the Colts will be a tough Week 14 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Jake Browning and the Bengals are fresh off of a big-time win on Monday Night Football over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Make sure to tune in to see who comes out on top at 1:00 p.m. EST on CBS.
