Colts owner Jim Irsay buys Elton John's piano for $915K

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay isn't afraid to shell out the cash.

According to ESPN's Mike Wells, Irsay paid $915,000 for a piano used by Elton John during his tours from 1974 through 1993. The famous musician signed the item, "Enjoy this as much as I have, Elton John."

Irsay was the highest bidder for the Steinway & Sons Model D Grand Piano at Heritage Auctions on Saturday in Dallas.

This is only the latest item purchased by Irsay. The 62-year-old bought a guitar used by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd for nearly $4 million two years ago and John Lennon's piano for more than $700,000. He also purchased one of Prince's guitars for almost $140,000 in 2016.
