Colts place WR Parris Campbell, S Malik Hooker on injured reserve

The Indianapolis Colts confirmed on Tuesday that the club placed wide receiver Parris Campbell and safety Malik Hooker on injured reserve.

Per an agreement between the NFL and NFL Players Association for the season held amid the coronavirus pandemic, Campbell is currently eligible to return for a Week 6 showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals after he misses a minimum of three games. As ESPN noted, Campbell is dealing with a MCL/PCL injury that will sideline him for "some time," per Indianapolis head coach Frank Reich.

Hooker is out for the season with a torn Achilles.

Campbell, selected by the Colts in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, caught six of nine targets and tallied 71 receiving yards in the team's 27-20 Week 1 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was carted off the field in the first quarter of Sunday's 28-11 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

In corresponding roster moves, Indianapolis added safety Ibraheim Campbell and cornerback and kick returner Tremon Smith to the main roster.
