The Indianapolis Colts finished up their practice week on Friday ahead of their Week 2 matchup vs. the Denver Broncos. And the writing on the wall from the first two practices came true for two notable Colts players.
Two of the Colts' top CBs missed the final practice of the week just as they did on Wednesday and Thursday . Head coach Shane Steichen ruled both Charvarius Ward and Jaylon Jones out for Week 2 and shared that the team's top edge rusher, Laiatu Latu, is questionable.

The Colts' CB rotation is going to look very different from Week 1, with their top CB (Ward) and a top rotational piece (Jones) sidelined. They will now turn to Xavien Howard, and my personal guess is that, despite what the team has hinted at, I imagine Kenny Moore II will play more snaps outside than in a typical game to help fill the void. Young players Mekhi Blackmon and Johnathan Edwards will undoubtedly see an increased workload as well.
Another big update is that the team's top edge rusher, Latu, is questionable for Sunday. Latu suffered a hamstring injury during Wednesday's practice, and it ultimately held him out of the remainder of the week. Though Steichen didn't feel comfortable enough to declare him active for Sunday, he did mention they could consider a potential snap count for Latu if he were to play Sunday. If he can't go, though, the Colts would have Kwity Paye and Samson Ebukam as their starting edge rushers. It would also point towards rookie JT Tuimoloau being able to make his NFL debut after being a healthy scratch in Week 1.
