The Indianapolis Colts signed La'Michael Pettway on Tuesday according to their official site. Pettway was the third player signed yesterday after the Colts also brought in running back Toriano Clinton and offensive lineman Dan Skipper.

To make room for the new additions, the Colts waived offensive tackle Jordan Murray, tight end Kaden Smith, and defensive tackle Jamal Woods.

Pettway has traveled a long road to get to Indianapolis Colts training camp. He's been a jumbo wide receiver at 6'2 and 225 pounds at all of his previous stops, but the Colts announced him as a tight end in their official release.

The Patriots also worked out Pettway as a tight end prior to the 2022 season.

He began his collegiate career with the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was at Arkansas for four years with his most prolific being the 2017 season when he had 30 catches for 499 yards and four touchdowns.

He transferred to Iowa State for his final year of eligibility and had 55 catches for 676 yards and six touchdowns as a Cyclone in 2019.

Pettway played in the USFL with the Michigan Panthers in 2022 and had 24 catches for 307 yards and two touchdowns. This past season he was with the Birmingham Stallions in the USFL and had eight catches for 99 yards and two touchdowns in the regular season.
