The Washington Commanders face the Kansas City Chiefs on "Thursday Night Football" in Week 8.
Unfortunately, the Commanders will be without star quarterback Jayden Daniels once again.
Daniels missed two games earlier this season due to a knee injury, and he is now out this time with a low-grade hamstring strain.
Marcus Mariota will start in Daniels' place, but it is a tough blow, especially against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs on primetime in a pivotal game.
On Wednesday, the Commanders announced some exciting news regarding two former players who are being considered for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Both London Fletcher and Brian Mitchell have advanced in the voting process.

The nominees began at 12 players, and now the list has narrowed to 52 players, with both former Commanders making the cut.
According to the release, the "Hall of Fame's full 50-person Selection Committee will review the above list and cast a vote," with the list moving down to 25 in five weeks.
Mitchell was selected in the fifth round of the 1990 NFL Draft by Washington and spent his first 10 NFL seasons with the franchise. He then played with the Philadelphia Eagles, and Mitchell is listed for special teams, despite also playing running back.
He was a member of the Washington team that won Super Bowl XXVI and he was an All-Pro once while making the Pro Bowl one time.
Fletcher began his career with the St. Louis Rams before playing with the Bills and playing the final seven seasons with Washington. He made the Pro Bowl four times and won Super Bowl XXXIV with the Rams.
The 20 finalists will be revealed during the week of Super Bowl LX
