Commanders' Brian Robinson already off crutches after shooting

There appears to be light at the end of the tunnel for Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson, Jr. who was spotted at the team facility on Wednesday walking around without the use of crutches.

Robinson was shot multiple times during an attempted robbery and had surgery just a little over a week ago. He is still expected to miss the first four weeks of the season, but head coach Ron Rivera assured the press on Wednesday that the rookie running back is on the mend.

According to an NFL Network report on the day of the surgery, the bullet that struck Robinson's knee very fortunately did not hit any tendons or joints. While a timetable still hasn't been set for Robinson's return, it remains likely he could play his first NFL game in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans.

The Alabama product rushed 14 times for 57 yards and one touchdown in preseason play for Washington.
