Commanders Dan Quinn Praises Key Assistant Coach

Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels faced tough coverage and limited his usual mobility, finishing with only five rushing yards—his lowest output this season. Daniels completed 17 of 34 passes for 202 yards, averaging less than six yards per attempt, as the Steelers' defensive schemes limited his rhythm and prevented his signature breakaway runs. Washington’s offensive production totaled 242 yards, with 182 passing and just 60 on the ground, alongside a modest 19 first downs. Although Daniels and the Commanders managed to break Pittsburgh’s season-long streak of holding opponents scoreless in the third quarter, the Steelers' defense held firm when it counted.

Recently, head coach Dan Quinn commended Kingsbury’s impact on Washington’s offense, which ranks tied for third in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills averaging 29.0 points per game.

“A lot that I’ve grown to appreciate,” Quinn said. “He’s got incredibly high standards for the group. He’s got a very creative mind. So, to think that all of our playbook has been seen, you would be mistaken.”
