The Washington Commanders are trying to win another playoff game, but it faces a very tough task in the Detroit Lions on the road.
It's obviously easy to say the Commanders are going to need all hands on deck, which is why Dan Quinn's latest update on Bobby Wagner is so crucial: The future Hall of Famer will play against the Lions on Saturday despite missing the last two practices with an ankle injury.
"No," Quinn told reporters when asked if there was any level of concern with Wagner. "He did a good job on the rehab part of it, but getting a chance to see him yesterday, some, through the rehab and today's practice, he looks strong."

Wagner is one of the key voices on the team and his veteran leadership -along with his play on the field- has been a catalyst behind the Commanders' 2024 success. His health becomes especially important after Quinn ruled out rookie linebacker Jordan Magee earlier in the week. Wagner injured his ankle in the Commanders' Wild Card win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
His on-field presence will be huge, as the Lions boast one of the league's most versatile offense and they love to attack the middle of the field. Per Next Gen Stats, Amon-Ra St. Brown led all NFL receivers with 251 receiving yards "between the hashes" and he was eighth with 622 receiving yards "down the seams". His seven touchdowns down the seasons were second, as well. Even more importantly, tight end Sam LaPorta finished sixth among tight ends with 479 receiving yards "down the seams".
The Commanders will release their final injury report Thursday afternoon.
