Commanders fans finally get the Sam Cosmi injury news they craved

There were very few disappointments to emerge from a sensational campaign for the Washington Commanders in 2024. Arguably the biggest was a devastating injury to interior offensive lineman Sam Cosmi. It's early days, but the latest reports surrounding the stud right guard's recovery couldn't be more encouraging. Cosmi tore his ACL during Washington's divisional-round victory against the Detroit Lions. The Commanders haven't put a timeline on the recovery, but head coach Dan Quinn recently stated that everything is going according to plan. This was a sentiment echoed by John Keim from ESPN in his latest update. The insider noted that Cosmi was moving well during the limited work he was given over Washington's offseason program. It's too soon to say what this means about his potential involvement in 2025, but it's a positive development nonetheless. There's definite optimism about the pace of the recovery.
