It's no secret that the Washington Commanders were short-handed at the wide receiver position heading into their Week 7 showdown against the Dallas Cowboys. Head coach Dan Quinn couldn't afford anyone else getting hurt, which is why there was so much concern around Luke McCaffrey during a scary incident at the end of the first half. The Commanders placed Noah Brown on injured reserve. He hasn't been seen since Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers, and Washington clearly wasn't satisfied with how his recovery was progressing. Second-team All-Pro wideout Terry McLaurin was absent for the fourth-straight game, which was bitterly disappointing when one considers how optimistic Quinn seemed earlier in the week. If that wasn't enough, the Commanders also went into the game without the services of Deebo Samuel Sr. due to a heel complication.
