Commanders' Generating 'Heavy Buzz' As Super Bowl Contender

The Washington Commanders in 2025 are going to have their work cut out keeping pace with what the franchise did last season in Jayden Daniels and Dan Quinn's first year.

An NFC title game appearance, along with winning 14 games (12 regular season, two playoffs), Quinn and his stud quarterback will now look to go again, and they'll have help.

Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil on the offensive side to upgrade the receiver and left tackle spots, while the addition of veteran Von Miller will beef up the pass rush for Joe Whitt Jr.

Some feel a regression is coming to the nation's capital, while others are bullish that Daniels can continue his ascension to being the elite quarterback they think he can be.

For Sports Illustrated's Conor Orr, he has the Commanders as one of 12 teams that he thinks can genuinely win the Super Bowl this season.

“While I was not initially thrilled with the idea of adding Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil to the build process, my skepticism has taken a backseat to my confidence in an offensive coaching staff that is garnering heavy buzz around the league right now," Orr writes. "If what we saw from Jayden Daniels during his rookie season was merely the tip of the iceberg, I think the Commanders have the potential to be a Ravens-like outlier in how they produce yards.”

Everything is in place for the Commanders to challenge for the Super Bowl.

The offense under Kliff Kingsbury "should" be better with the additions of Samuel and Tunsil, and the defense, which was the team's Achilles heel last season, will hopefully be improved enough to the point where it can help shoulder the load during games.

If and that's a big if, Washington can keep pace with its rebuilding plan that began with a bang last season, there's no reason to think that this team won't be in the mix come January.
