Former Arizona Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury backed out of the offensive coordinator job with the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this week.
It didn't take him long to find another gig.
According to various NFL insiders, Kingsbury is being hired as the new offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders. This is following the official hiring of Dan Quinn as Washington's new head coach.

He was Quinn's top choice according to B/R's Jordan Schultz, and perhaps a big reason why Kingsbury pulled out of the Vegas job unexpectedly.
Kingsbury spent 2019-22 with the Cardinals as their head coach after being fired from Texas Tech. Though he brought Kyler Murray to the organization and led them to a postseason berth, Arizona fired him and general manager Steve Keim at the end of the 2022 regular season.
Kingsbury finished with a 27-38-1 record as Arizona's head coach before departing for the college ranks last offseason, where he spent 2023 coaching USC quarterback Caleb Williams - who is likely to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Kingsbury drew plenty of interest from teams this offseason, interviewing with the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears before initially agreeing to call plays for the Raiders.
However, Kingsbury reportedly withdrew his name after it was widely believed to be all but a formality, and now he'll be in Washington with an opportunity to coach a new rookie quarterback for the Commanders.
