Croskey-Merritt has been dealing with a groin injury and has not practiced this week. He leads the Commanders with 239 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on 67 carries. Washington enters the matchup at 1-3-1.
Quarterback Jayden Daniels ranks second on the team with 203 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while running back Rachaad White has added 118 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, the undefeated 49ers are 5-0 and looking to extend their NFC West lead with a sixth straight win. However, San Francisco has its own injury concerns.
Defensive end Nick Bosa continues to miss practice while recovering from a calf injury. Wide receiver Mike Evans has been playing through a rib injury and missed practice this week after developing Achilles soreness.
Additionally, defensive tackle Gracen Halton is dealing with a quadriceps injury that has kept him off the practice field this week.
The 49ers have one more practice scheduled before Monday night's game. They are set to take the field Saturday at 12:35 p.m. PT.
