Apart from Jayden Daniels, the Washington Commanders also lost cornerback Marshon Lattimore to injury on Sunday night. The Commanders suffered a lopsided defeat against the Seattle Seahawks, 38-14, and their misery was compounded by the fact that they lost a couple of key players in the same game.
Daniels sustained an elbow injury late in the game, while Lattimore was forced to exit the contest due to a knee issue. A significant update has now emerged on Lattimore’s injury, and it has been confirmed that Washington will need to make plans for the rest of the season without the four-time Pro Bowler.
Lattimore, a former Defensive Rookie of the Year winner, is currently in his first full season with the Commanders. He first joined the team via a mid-season trade from the New Orleans Saints last year.
The 29-year-old has started all nine games for Washington thus far, registering 27 total tackles (16 solo) and one tackle for loss. Lattimore also has one interception, seven pass breakups, one interception and one fumble recovery.
Unfortunately for Lattimore, his season has now come to an end after a devastating injury in Monday’s loss to Seattle. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirmed the season-ending news on Monday.
“This is now confirmed. Out for the season,” Rapoport posted on X, referencing an earlier post indicating that Lattimore has suffered a torn ACL.

Lattimore will now likely undergo surgery to address the injury. He will go through a lengthy rehabilitation process with the objective of being ready for the start of the 2026 season.
As for Daniels, there is no word yet on the star quarterback’s recovery timeline, at least as of writing. He has been diagnosed with a dislocated left elbow and is out indefinitely. The Commanders are not yet certain if the 24-year-old’s injury is season-ending.
It is also worth noting that Washington, which fell to 3-6 after Sunday’s defeat, also lost wide receiver Luke McCaffrey during the game. He sustained a fractured collarbone and is expected to be placed on injured reserve in the coming days.
